The Paddy Kierans' Memorial Fundraising Walk in Aid of Cystic Fibrosis Research to SAN FRANCISCO (U.S.A.) - September/October 2010
We are delighted to introduce you to our 2010 national fundraising walk to San Francisco in support of the Cystic Fibrosis Association. The walk which is an annual event will raise much needed funds towards research and support services for people with Cystic Fibrosis and their families.
We again endeavour to maintain the excellent work of Paddy a founder member of the walk committee. This year we do so by walking in this exciting American location. So "Let's go to SAN FRANCISCO for CF".
San Francisco is a popular international tourist destination. It is located on the West Coast of the United States at the tip of the San Francisco Peninsula and includes significant stretches of the Pacific Ocean and San Francisco Bay within its boundaries. The city is renowned for its chilly summer fog, steep rolling hills, eclectic mix of Victorian and modern architecture and its famous landmarks, including the Golden Gate Bridge, the Cable Cars, and Chinatown. It has everything for the visitor and it is certainly an opportunity not to be missed.
The walk will begin in the beautiful setting of Monterey and its beaches, it will then move to the wilderness of the Yosemite National Park and its spectacular valleys, and finally it will reach the city of San Francisco, where the walkers will have to opportunity to walk the world famous Golden Bridge, and see the unmissable Alcatraz and the lively Fisherman’s Wharf, just to name a few. So Let's Go to San Francisco!!!
