hi pink!

i was tested a while back for osteo-arteristis (sp??) but it wasnt it (or so they tell me), my ankles, knees, hips, shoulders and wrists just randomly start aching sometimes! its very frustrating as it can wake me up at night and then cant get comfy again!! pain-killers dont really help that much iv found. :( maybe its a side-effect of meds of some kind, maybe its just a manifestation of exhaustion in general...? i dont really know! sorry i couldnt be much help, hope cork is growing on ya and you're all settled in!! :cyclopsani:

thanks willie, poor you, but helpful to me. my teen sounds the same, but dont fancy her going on steroids, i have [probably unfounded ]phobia of them, she seems to just sundenly get pains out of blue then it lasts about a week and then goes, and can be gone for months, she gets a rash too, that usually comes first then the pains. i was watching ''the doctors'' this morning and they did an article on arthritus, but said osteo was more sports related, and rhumatoid was the painful one. anyway seeing as you are in cork do you mind if i refernece you to ccathy and claire?

here is an eyeopener form prof plant, it is not unusual to get aches and pains in joints pre-empting a chest infection!! So, we have now realised a few days before a chest infection my teenwcf gets a rash, joint pains and v. tired.
another eye opener from CUH........ they dont recommend exputex to ANY cf patients!!!! in tallaght it was always recommended and my teen took it as a daily prevention! strange eh???
