This is part one of an ongoing series about the history of Cystic Fibrosis Ireland.
Cystic Fibrosis Ireland are looking for individuals to tell their stories of how CF affects their life.
PWCF, Siblings, Partners, Children, Parents – your story matters and your voice can help.

CFI carry out numerous awareness and fundraising campaigns throughout the year and require testimonials from the CF Community to ensure our message is heard. If you are interested in sharing your story of living with Cystic Fibrosis we would love to hear from you.
Opportunities include telling your story in our Spectrum Newsletter, media interviews, press calls and awareness campaigns.

Cystic Fibrosis Ireland (CFI) are seeking your school's support as part of our ChariTY School Program.
The aim of the program is to educate Transition Year students on Cystic Fibrosis and to encourage TY students to undertake a fundraising event/activity on behalf of CF Ireland. We would love the opportunity to work with students as part of a fundraising campaign or as part of their Gaisce / YSI community programme helping to raise awareness of cystic fibrosis.

At the 2016 TY Expo in Punchestown, CFI launched a TY School Fundraising Pack available which will provide students with some helpful information and guidance on organising a school fundraising event. The pack will help explain to students how to get started with fundraising, it will contain some fundraising ideas, how to get publicity for your event and how to manage the money.
Click on the image below to download a copy of the Pack or for more information contact the office on 01 496 2433 or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
For students that feel this might be of interest to your school, why not speak to your Transition Year co-ordinator and get in touch with us.
Cystic Fibrosis Ireland are calling on people to donate their unwanted 1 cent and 2 cent coins to charity.

In 2015 a scheme aimed at reducing the number of one and two cent coins in circulation in Ireland began that saw customers have their change rounded to the nearest five cents.
Rounding is used in cash transactions only as part of Ireland’s initiative which aims to reduce the use of 1 cent and 2 cent coins. Rounding will be conducted on a voluntary basis while 1 cent and 2 cent coins will remain legal tender. Customers will still be entitled to ask for exact change.
The official rollout follows the successful trial conducted by the National Payments Plan in Wexford in 2013 which showed 85 per cent of consumers and 100 per cent of retailers in Wexford welcomed the national rounding of cent coins in Ireland.
We are asking CFI supporters to put your unwanted coins in a Cystic Fibrosis Ireland Collection Box. This way you can help us continue to support people with Cystic Fibrosis.
