CFI is delighted to let you know that a building contractor has just been appointed to build the 20 bed CF inpatient ward in Beaumont Hospital. This project was given the greenlight by the HSE/Beaumont Hospital just before Christmas.

The indicative timescale for the completion of the unit ranges from an estimated 16 to 24 months (depending on material supplies) The turning of the first sod will commence shortly. CFI will provide regular updates on progress. 

Philip Watt, outgoing CEO of CFI stated:

"This is one of the most important CF building projects in Ireland. Beaumont Hospital provides adult CF care not only for North Dublin but also much of  north Leinster and parts of Ulster.. I am very happy and relieved that this unit is proceeding and it is very much the 'icing on the cake' in my final days in CFI. I wish to acknowledge all involved in the advocacy and part fundraising for this project over the years including our former partners CF Hopesourrce; the CF clinicians and their teams and Beaumont Hospital management/HSE."
