CFI is pleased to announce that our CEO, Philip Watt has been elected President of Cystic Fibrosis Europe (CFE) for a term of 2 years. CFE is the Europe-wide network of CF patient groups based in Brussels. CFE has 39 member countries, including Ireland, with member countries  ranging from the Ukraine to the UK. Total membership covers around 55,000 people. https://www.cf-europe.eu

Philip will will be working closely with CEO Hilde De Keyser; Vice-President and PwCF Audrey Chansard (France); Treasurer Stefan Joris (Belgium) and all the Board members. This is an honorary/unpaid position. Some of the key issues will be improved and greater equality in access to medicines; supporting research and helping shape standards of care across Europe (through consensus). CFE continues to play an important role in supporting people with CF in Ukraine. CFE will work closely with the European CF Society (ECFS) which is the key CF scientific research body.  We look forward to keeping you updated on this work through Spectrum.
