The Head2Head Walk is one of the most anticipated events on our calendar. This iconic walk from Howth Head to Bray Head takes the participants through the city and along a scenic coastal path from Howth to Bray.
This year is our 10th Annual Head2Head Walk which is a huge milestone made possible by the
Head2Head Walk Committee, who have helped organise this event every year for the last 10 years.
The Head2Head Walk committee is chaired by Mary McCarroll. She gave us this lovely testimonial about her experience being part of the organising committee and how the walk has grown over the last 10 years.
‘It is with great pride that we are going to have our 10th Annual Walk on 4th of September this year. I have wonderful memories of seeing people arrive in Howth - the buses, the ambulance, and the Gardai and people just full of joy gathering and heading off down the coast road. We have grown from 100 to 650 participants from all over the country as well as internationally. We really look forward to growing more and more each year. Head2Head is a wonderful walk, the scenery is beautiful and I am so grateful, along with the committee, for the people who give their time & support to us. We are really looking forward to seeing you all again this year - old and new faces – and also to welcome on board the marshals and all of the people who are going to help us - we appreciate you so much! This was an idea that Jem Downes had that has turned into one of our most successful fundraisers for Cystic Fibrosis Ireland. It started off with Beds for Beaumont and we have been able to help and support the new unit in Beaumont. Thanks to the committee and the staff at CF House we have raised €X to date.
