Knockpatrick Gardens - Thank You!

TLC4CF would like to send a big thank you to Tim & Helen O’Brien from Knockpatrick Gardens, Foynes, who have donated €650 in October 2020.

Knockpatrick Gardens is a 100-year old Irish Farmhouse garden which is open to the public. Each year Tim and Helen generously donate their admission fees to TLC4CF, as it is a charity close to their heart. We are honoured to be the recipient of this donation, which comes as a result of their hardwork and dedication to these beautiful gardens.

Charlene's 65 Roses Weekend Challenge

Many thanks to TLC4CF supporter Charlene for her fundraising event in October which so far has raised €745!

Charlene is a close supporter of TLC4CF. Each year she faithfully helps our 65 Roses Day annual campaign. As 65 Roses Day went virtual in 2020, Charlene decided to change things up and set up her own fundraising exercise challenge for TLC4CF. In October, Charlene encouraged friends, family and donors to complete their own ‘65’ challenge of running, walking, sit ups (or other) in aid of TLC4CF. Charlene’s supporters managed to raise an enormous €745 in one weekend! We are so grateful to Charlene for organising this event and supporting TLC4CF yet again, especially during these difficult times. Thanks Charlene!

Thank You!

TLC4CF have received a generous donation from a local supporter, Kitty.

Every year Kitty organises her own 10km charity run, with all donations going towards TLC4CF and the families we support who live with cystic fibrosis. This year, despite the challenges of COVID-19, Kitty persevered with her annual charity run in September and managed to raise a massive €1,260. This is her biggest fundraiser yet!

TLC4CF would like to sincerely thank Kitty for all her efforts in fundraising over the years as it has not gone unnoticed.

Clare Ladies Football

A huge thank you to Clare Ladies Football for their mammoth fundraising effort earlier this year. The team and their supporters ‘ditched the boots’ during lockdown and managed to run a combined 2,300km for a selection of local charity organisations.

TLC4CF were delighted to be chosen as one of the charities to benefit from their generosity, with the players managing to raise €3,500 for us!

Thanks for supporting us and the work we do for people with cystic fibrosis.

Corofin Climb Everest - Thank You

On Saturday June 6th 2020, 50 members of Corofin GAA Club (Clare) completed an ‘Everest Challenge’ as a fundraiser for TLC4CF. We are incredibly grateful for being the chosen charity for this event, which raised a massive €16,936!

Participants climbed to the peak of Mullaghmore, in The Burren County Clare, while simultaneously ‘soloing’ a sliothar or football. The challenge was completed in one day, with all participants adhering to current social distancing guidelines. The combined total of ascents equalled the height of the world’s highest peak, Mount Everest!

The response to the event was overwhelming – there were 542 online donations made, with the event attracting media and social media interest from across Ireland. Thank you sincerely to all the hard-working organisers, the climber participants, and everyone who donated. The event was a total success!

Thank You

Many thanks to the Green Cert Class of Teagasc Co Clare for including TLC4CF in their Christmas Charity Run. The sponsored fun run/walk was held in Lees Road Park, Ennis Co Clare over the holiday period.

We are incredibly grateful to be one of the three chosen charities for the Christmas Run, receiving €2,400 from the event! Thanks to all of the students, staff and participants who took part and congratulations for putting on such a successful fundraising event.
