CFI Statement on the passing of Keelin Shanley

Cystic Fibrosis Ireland are deeply saddened to hear of the death of RTÉ Broadcaster, Keelin Shanley.

Keelin has been a wonderful ambassador for Cystic Fibrosis Ireland since 2014 and was committed to the cause of cystic fibrosis and to improving the lives of people with CF in Ireland. A friendly, generous and down to earth individual, she was always willing to lend a hand. Her loss will be felt deeply.

Philip Watt, Chief Executive, Cystic Fibrosis Ireland, stated:

“Cystic Fibrosis Ireland today mourns the death of Keelin Shanley who has been a long standing Ambassador for our 65 Roses Campaign. Keelin always gave generousily of her time over the past 6 years and was a wonderful spokesperson for and friend to the CF Community.”

On behalf of the cystic fibrosis community in Ireland, we wish to extend our deep appreciation of Keelin’s constant support and express our condolences to Keelin’s husband Conor, children Lucy & Ben and to her family, friends and colleagues.
