The Government has slightly revised restrictions to reduce the spread of coronavirus.
In general, you should still not leave your home, with limited exceptions as per the regulations that were introduced on March 27th and will continue until May 18th 2020.
From today, Tuesday May 5h, two new changes come into effect:
The measures are subject to review if the Government decide. Read more about the measures on www.gov.ie.
While the guidance does allow for exercise outside the home, you are strongly advised to stay at home as much as possible.
If you do decide to exercise outside of your house / garden you should:
Please note: Dublin City Council parks will be reserved daily between 1.30pm and 3.30pm for people who are cocooning. Please check with your local parks if similar services are operating, but also ensure that the park is safe for you to exercise in, even during this designated time.
Avoidance of all shops (including pharmacies) is still recommended.
People with CF should not enter indoor facilities where other people may be present, this includes houses of family / friends.
Home visits from people outside your household are not recommended.
The Government has also set out a Roadmap for Reopening Society and Business to ease the COVID-19 restrictions in a phased manner from 18 May 2020.
The plan sets out five stages for unlocking restrictions, at 3-week intervals.
As restrictions are eased, the rate of the virus in the community will be constantly monitored by the National Public Health Emergency Team and the Government.
Please note that ‘there is nothing set in stone’ in this roadmap and there is considerable flexibility in what is being proposed.
We are seeking further guidance on recommendations for people with CF and / or family members returning to work and will update members as this information is made available to us.
