The 2021 Cystic Fibrosis Ireland Annual Conference took place virtually over two nights, April 6th & 7th.

The Road Ahead for CF in Ireland: The Progress and Challenges was the theme for the 2021 Conference and among the issues being addressed how new and innovative drug therapies are beginning to turn CF into a more manageable long term disease.

The conference also discussed the impact and legacy of COVID-19 on the lives of people with cystic fibrosis. Results from a study on how the pandemic has impacted on the lives of people with CF was also presented.

​Further topics included: the challenges of starting a family with CF, CF related diabetes and an update on many research topics – from diet to CF and dental issues.
