Transplant Assessment Grant / Transplant Grant Scheme NEW

Transplant Support Grant 

We provide financial support to help cover extra costs like accommodation, meals, and travel for members and their families who need to travel for a transplant assessment or transplant. 

Grant Amounts 

  • €850 for members attending a hospital in Dublin 

  • €1,200 for those attending the Freeman Hospital in Newcastle, UK 

This support is there to help ease the financial pressure during this time 

How do I apply? 

To receive the transplant assessment grant, you will need to send CFI a copy of your hospital letter showing the date and time of your assessment appointment. 

For the transplant grant, CFI must be contacted directly by a member of the CF or transplant team, or by the next of kin of the person with CF. 

When can I apply? 

You should apply as soon as you receive your appointment or assessment details. 

Please note that CFI cannot give this grant after the appointment has already happened.
